Nine Artists to Lead Fall Workshops at Montana's Triple Creek Ranch

Triple Creek Ranch, the Montana Relais & Châteaux resort already known for its extensive collection of Western art, will hold a "Spectrum of Color & Artistry" series of artist-led workshop weekends.

Scheduled October 2 – 5, October 9 – 12 and October 16 – 19, each weekend brings together three celebrated Western artists to share their talent and inspiration in a setting of Rocky Mountain autumn beauty. Priced from $1,725 per person, the four-day/three-night program includes all workshops and activities, as well as all meals and in-house beverages, a guided tour of the resort’s private art collection, farewell art exhibit and more.

Among the artists participating are: Nancy Dunlop Cawdrey, dye on silk, watercolors, oils, and pastels; Carol Hagan, oils and acrylics; and Brent Cotton, oils and acrylics (Oct. 2 – 5); Steve Seltzer, oils; Loren Kovich, watercolors; and Sheila Rieman, pastels (Oct. 9 – 12) and Dawn Emerson, pastels; Larry Pirnie, acrylics and Steve Oiestad, oils (Oct. 16 – 19).

The weekend programs feature all the sumptuous services and amenities of Triple Creek Ranch, including accommodations in a luxury cabin with wood-burning fireplace, stocked bar, and a private hot tub on the deck (or nearby), as well as painting sessions – for all levels; guided tour of the ranch’s private art collection led by the artists; opportunity to ask artists questions about the art world in a personal, relaxed atmosphere; and farewell art exhibit and reception. In addition, aspiring artists will be equipped with a blank canvas, workspace and art supplies to use, and frames for their finished work.

In the morning, guests are free to explore the resort’s 600 tranquil acres. An Orvis-endorsed fly fishing resort, Triple Creek Ranch offers superb fly fishing on the Bitterroot River. Hiking and horseback riding through the Bitterroot National Forest afford great views of area wildlife.
