Lake Tahoe Plans Autumn Food & Wine Festival

The North Lake Tahoe Autumn Food and Wine Festival returns to the Sierra Nevada in all its culinary glory Thursday, September 28 through Sunday, October 1 at venues throughout
North Lake Tahoe and Truckee.

The four-day event features a lakefront grape stomp and luncheon at Gar Woods Grill and Pier; tastings with Napa Valley Winery owners, growers and winemakers; outdoor grilling with Culinary Institute of America Napa Chef Lars Kronmark; oyster and wine pairing; Charbay Vodka annual release party; Blazing Pans Mountain Chef Cook-off; Kings Beach Passport to Dining; Truckee Wine, Walk and Shop and Celebrity Chef's Dinner and winemaker events.

Also featured this year will be a reception and tasting of boutique wineries, including Hill Family Estate, StoneFly Vineyard, Spelletich Cellars, Frazier Winery, Eagle Eye Wine, Elkhorn Peak, Work Vineyard, Judd's Hill, Ramian Estate, Rocca Winery and Phelan Vineyard.

The weekend culminates with Sunday's Grand Tasting and Culinary Competition at the Resort at Squaw Creek in Olympic Valley. The event pairs the delicacies of more than 30 area restaurants with California wineries for one of the most-highly anticipated food events of the
year.
