"Dine About Town San Francisco"

The countdown begins for the San Francisco Convention & Visitors Bureau's (SFCVB) popular "Dine About Town San Francisco" program January 15-31 and June 1-15, 2008.

The complete restaurant list for Dine About Town 2008 will be unveiled on the official "Dine About Town San Francisco" website, www.onlyinsanfrancisco.com, December 14. The site will list each participating restaurant, searchable by cuisine and location and reservations may be made online through a partnership with OpenTable.com. Each three-course prix-fixe lunch is $21.95 while dinner is $31.95, exclusive of tax and gratuity. A la carte menus will also be available.

New Restaurants on the List

The preliminary list includes the debut of three new Dine About Town restaurants for 2008; A16 (2355 Chestnut St.); Sauce (131 Gough St.) and Café Claude (7 Claude Ln.).

Absinthe Brasserie & Bar (398 Hayes St.); Anzu (222 Mason St.); Asia de Cuba (495 Geary St.); Forbes Island (Pier 39); Hornblower Cruises & Events (Pier 3); One Market (1 Market St.); Palio D'Asti (640 Sacramento St.) Roy's Hawaiian Fusion (575 Mission St.); Scoma's (Pier 47); and Tommy Toy's Cuisine Chinoise (655 Montgomery St.) return for the seventh consecutive year, each with new three-course menus showcasing the talents of the chefs who personalize each menu to reflect their culinary style and highlight locally grown, seasonal ingredients.

Other participating restaurants include Annabelle's Bar & Bistro (68 Fourth St.); Aziza (5800 Geary Blvd.); bushi-tei (1638 Post St.); B44 (44 Belden Pl.); Butterfly (Pier 33); Café Bastille (22 Belden Pl.); Destino (1815 Market St.); Frisson (244 Jackson St.); Lark Creek Steak (845 Market St., Suite 402); Le Charm French Bistro (315 Fifth St.); O'Reilly's Holy Grail (1233 Polk St.); Plouf (40 Belden Pl.); RNM (598 Haight St.); Rue Saint Jacques (1098 Jackson St.); and The Public Resto-Lounge (1489 Folsom St.).

Get a Head Start on the List

The two-week January promotion will provide diners an opportunity to get a head start on the list, which they may complete in June for the Summer Dine About Town promotion.

For the first time, videos of participating restaurants will be available online through a partnership with TasteTV. The "Dine About Town San Francisco" site will also include a link to a collection of hotel packages, to turn a dining experience into a full-fledged getaway.
