Hotel Fouquet's Barrier Perfect for Lovers

Few photographs capture the essence of romance better than Robert Doisneau’s Le Baiser (The Kiss), photographed in Paris in 1950.

Now Hotel Fouquet’s Barrière has created an unprecedented opportunity for its guests, allowing this special moment to be recreated.

Guests Go for a One-Hour Photo Session

With the hotel’s new “Paris C’est L’Amour” package, guests are taken out for a one-hour photo shoot on the Parisian streets with a professional black and white photographer—the perfect setup for another old-time “kiss.”

They are even treated to a make up session beforehand to ensure that the hair and look are just right. This experience is not only thrilling and romantic, but also provides lovers with a souvenir they can enjoy for the rest of their lives. To top it off, couples are taken on a “Paris-by-night” tour in either a chauffeur-driven 2CV convertible or a Peugeot C6 (President Chirac’s vehicle).

Welcoming Caviar and Champagne

The package also includes welcoming caviar and champagne, breakfast each morning, a champagne dinner at the hotel’s Le Diane restaurant and transportation to and from the airport. The cost is 1599 Euros per night based on double occupancy, and a two-night minimum stay is required.

Hotel Fouquet’s Barrière opened at the intersection of Avenue des Champs Elysees and Avenue George V— Paris’ “golden triangle”—on November 1, 2006. The first “palace hotel” to open in Paris in almost 80 years, it is a combination of modern-chic and fin-de-siecle grandeur—exuding an intimate and posh ambiance that caters to all types of clientele.
