See Jewish History and Culture in Greece and Turkey

Having explored Jewish history and culture in Spain and Italy on earlier tours, Professor Irwin Feuerstein of McMaster University in Canada (feuerst@mcmaster.ca) now focuses on Greece and Turkey, where Jews lived and flourished particularly in the Hellenistic, Roman and Ottoman eras.

In addition to world-famous attractions like the Parthenon in Athens, the Apollo-sanctuary of Delphi, and Istanbul's Aya Sophia, Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace, Feuerstein's group will contact existing Jewish communities and visit Jewish museums, cemeteries and synagogues, including the fascinating ruins of the Diaspora Synagogue on the Aegean Island of Delos.
