EL AL Israel Airlines Boosts Miami and Los Angeles Service to Tel Aviv Starting March 25, 2007, EL AL will increase service between Miami and Tel Aviv from two to three flights each week. This summer, EL AL will increase its nonstop service between Los Angeles and Tel Aviv from three to four times a week, from June 25th through August 27th. The nonstop flights will depart Los Angeles every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, and offer travelers convenient departure and arrival times. In mid-April, after Passover, the EL AL direct service between Chicago and Tel Aviv will be replaced with flights via New York (JFK/Newark) or Toronto. EL AL passengers from Chicago will travel on a leading American carrier to New York (JFK/Newark) or Toronto to connect to the EL AL nonstop flight to Israel. EL AL has interline agreements with leading domestic carriers that will allow passengers to purchase one ticket from Chicago to Israel. Enhanced Equipment and In-Flight Comfort This summer, EL AL will accept two new Boeing 777 aircraft that will be utilized on the New York (JFK/Newark)/Tel Aviv and Los Angeles/Tel Aviv routes. The new 777s will be equipped with even more comfortable and spacious seats in First and Business Class and will feature an expanded pitch and recline. These same new seats will also be installed on all of EL AL's existing 747-400 and 777 fleet this year. Every seat on all EL AL 747-400 and 777 aircraft is equipped with personal TV monitors, offering a wide selection of in-flight entertainment.
Among the amenities of the 777s are wide, spacious cabins, the most comfortable seats available, fully digital electronic in-flight entertainment with larger screens as well as provisions for personal computers and interactive features. New Airport Lounges at JFK This spring, EL AL will continue its first-rate service upgrades with new and expanded First and Business Class lounges at JFK. The premiere lounge will be similar to the EL AL King David Lounge at Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv and will also be equipped with shower facilities.
