Valley Marathon- Sunday, March 4 It is fitting that Calistoga is the chosen start for the race since it is known for its geysers, curative waters and a lifestyle that promotes wellness. The race starts at 7 a.m. on Sunday, March 4 in downtown Calistoga. Marathon organizers limit the number of runners to 2,200 but spectators are welcome to cheer for the athletes and participate in the many activities and seminars that begin on Friday, March 2 and run through Sunday. Mud & Music - Saturday March 10 The downtown area along Lincoln Avenue will transform into a great spring party featuring a variety of jazz groups, tastings of award-winning local wines, and the opportunity to browse the galleries, shops, restaurants and spas of this famous hot springs town. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with music groups performing their sets throughout the day. Visitors may purchase a "Jazz Pac" for $10 per person before and during the event at two locations, The Bank of the West and the Calistoga Chamber of Commerce, both located on Lincoln Avenue. The Jazz Pac includes access to live music performances throughout the day, and includes a logo wine glass and four wine tasting tickets good at any of the tasting venues. De Mayo Parade- Sunday May 6 Infectious mariachi music fills the air as the traditional Mexican dancers twirl and strut their stuff. The parade ends at the Napa County Fairgrounds on Oak Street in Calistoga where the Cinco De Mayo Festival begins with more music and dancing, food and games for the kids.
